From trio
to big band, jazz lovers have been following the career
of San Francisco Bay Area Jazz singer Hale Baskin. Her
style is infused with great tunes, hip changes and deep
grooves.
Hale’s
immense talent, coupled with classic beauty are the
reasons why she is one of the most sought after
vocalists in the SF Bay Area and beyond.
It's been a thrill for me to watch Hale's musical talents grow
over the past few years that I have worked with her. I first
saw her as a precocious young girl who loved the great songs
from the golden era of American popular song, the 1930s
through the 1950s. She always has had "big ears" and been able
to quickly absorb anything that was musically presented to
her. Hale has amazed me with the ability to deal with any
musical situation. She has grown into a young woman with a
confidence and musical prowess that is startling in one her
age.
I think Hale can be successful in just about any field she
decides to pursue. For the benefit of all of us who love great
songs and great singers, I hope performing continues to be a
major part of her life. The journey is just beginning.
